Wu Hequan, Member of the Chinese Academy of Engineering. He is an expert on optical fiber transmission networks and broadband information networks. His research primarily focuses on optical fiber transmission systems, the next-generation internet, broadband mobile communication, and the strategic development of engineering science and technology. Currently, he holds the positions of Director of China Standardization Expert Committee, Director of IPv6 Large-scale Deployment Expert Committee, and is an IEEE Senior Member.

Abstract: This PPT summarizes the main development trends of network technology based on large broadband, large connectivity, large platforms, and large models, including the intergenerational leap from 5G to 5.5G/6G, ubiquitous connectivity from ground to low orbit satellites, evolution from IPv4 to IPv6, development from on-site operating systems to industrial Internet platforms, and applications from PaaS/SaaS to MaaS (model as a service).
