Wu Zhiqiang is a Member of the Chinese Academy of Engineering (CAE), a Member of the National Academy of Science and Engineering (Acatech), and a Fellow of the Royal Swedish Academy of Engineering Sciences (IVA). He is a professor and doctoral supervisor at the College of Architecture and Urban Planning, Tongji University. He is a leading figure in the theory and engineering practice of urban and rural planning in China and has achieved remarkable results in a series of major urban planning projects, making significant scientific contributions to the rationalization of urban planning. He has led multiple national-level research projects and completed numerous primary project practices. He has authored more than 20 monographs in both Chinese and foreign languages and published over 200 papers in domestic and international academic journals.
